G'day, my name is Brent Livermore and welcome to my new website!

Happy New Year, 2008 is here and the Beijing Olympics is just around the corner in August. Feels like just yesterday we won the Kookaburra's first Olympic Gold in Athens 2004.

The site will keep you informed and up-to-date with myself and The Kookaburras on the journey as we embark on new challenges as the history making Olympic Champions. As we face aspirations and the battle striving for back to back Olympic Gold, our nearest rivals are making us work for it.

From the disappointing World Cup Silver which gave us a wake up call as we stumbled off the top of the mountain and must regain our footing.

2007 finished with a Silver Medal at the Champions Trophy in Malaysia which again we lost to Germany in the final 1-0. We have slipped to Number 2 in the World and are very aggrevated to say the least.

Having secured the berth at the Beijing Olympic we can plan our final preparation precisely for us to peak at the right time, whilst some of our rival still have to qualify throughout February and March and this is when the Olympic Pools will be finalised.

Our major goal is to dominate world hockey winning all major tournaments on the road to Beijing 2008. Keep up to date with all events and story’s in the 'News' section of the website.

2008 will be hectic year. Centralisation will happen from mid March during Olympic Year at the Australian Institute of Sport - Hockey Unit in Perth. We have completed a heavy physical preparation over the Xmas New Year period and now look forward to building our performance as a complete squad after the Australian Hockey League which takes place in Canberra from 24th February - 9th March.
